My Story

Nikol Astakhova is a nationally recognized youth advocate and the Founder of My Game My Voice. With extensive on-the-ground coaching experience and policy leadership, Nikol has become a leading voice for equitable access to athletics and youth empowerment. As a USA Gymnastics certified coach and judge, Nikol has coached athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities across county, regional, and state-level competitions. Nikol serves on the Congressional Youth Cabinet, where she develops policy proposals aimed at improving adaptive sports access and disability inclusion. Nikol conducted mentored research on community mobilization and inclusive policy design at Vanderbilt University, which she now applies directly to MGMV’s initiatives. As nationally awarded public speaker, her training in legal advocacy and public communication strengthens MGMV’s mission by equipping her to speak powerfully for communities.
