There’s something special about the energy of a final practice before a big competition: anticipation, nerves, pride, and most of all, teamwork. This week, our team gathered for our last practice before States, and it might have been one of our most memorable sessions yet.
We kicked off the afternoon with a full warm-up together, moving as one big team before splitting into our levels. Each group headed to its apparatus and began running routines. We polished details, built confidence, and supported one another through every skill. After rotations, we came back together for a full mock meet. One by one, each athlete performed while the rest of the team sat on the floor, cheering loudly. The room felt full of encouragement, pride, and the kind of sportsmanship that makes our program so special.
And then came the best part.
Thanks to a generous donation, we were able to surprise every athlete with a personalized gift bag. Inside each one was a club-exclusive t-shirt, a custom gymnastics bag with their name on it, a keychain, and a competition bow. Watching their faces light up was pure joy was such a sweet reminder of how much these little moments matter.
We ended practice with hugs, smiles, and excitement buzzing in the air as everyone headed home to get ready for States the following week.
This team works hard, supports each other endlessly, and brings so much heart to the sport. We couldn’t be prouder! States, here we come! 💖🤸♀️✨
